Bio
Jason was first introduced to homeopathy, as are so many others, through his family. Jason’s son Zach had severe gastroesophageal reflux when he was younger and would projectile vomit anything he ate across the room. After many trips to pediatricians, hospitals and specialists it was decided by the powers-that-be that the best course of action was to put this little five-year old boy on laxatives for six-months. It was determined that the cause of the reflux was a weak muscle leading from the stomach to the intestines, so they thought laxatives would keep his intestines empty and allow this muscle to contract properly and strengthen, which should fix the problem. If it didn’t, they said, surgery would be required.
Thankfully Zach’s teacher, who (aside from teaching) was in her final year of studies with the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst, needed a patient for her clinical internship. Being familiar with Zach’s problem, she asked if Zach could participate in her clinical. With nothing to lose it was agreed and Zach began treatment. This happened about two-weeks after the specialist meeting where Zach had been prescribed a six-month course of laxatives. Zach never did take the laxatives, and within two months of starting Heilkunst treatment his vomiting stopped. Six months later the clinical internship was finished, coincidentally at the same time that Zach was supposed to go back for a follow-up appointment with the specialist. The specialist pronounced Zach cured and we left his office with a new viewpoint about the medical profession.
Jason’s career choices have always involved helping people - from retail to insurance sales to mortgage lending - but something was always missing and Heilkunst provided the missing piece. Here was something that would allow him to help people and also allow him to grow and evolve at the same time. Jason began his own treatment with Heilkunst and eventually found that his appointments ended up being more about the theory of Heilkunst and why it worked than about what was going on in his life, and so he decided to start studying. Four years later Jason graduated from the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst and holds a diploma in homeopathy and Heilkunst, and is a Doctor of Medical Heilkunst in the Canadian/International Heilkunst Association.
Jason’s office is in the east end of Ottawa, Canada’s national capital, and it is a member-clinic of the Hahnemann Clinic for Heilkunst based in Ottawa, Ontario. As such Jason has access to all of the most current research and the advantages of a multi-practitioner, multi-office affiliation. Jason lives with his son Zach and daughter Stella, and all three suffer to live in the house with its true owner, Pixel the cat.
